Do You Like Amazon New Fire TV UI?

    Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices are getting a new look… or rather, the software that they display on your TV screen is getting an overhaul. The hardware looks pretty much the same.

    Amazon promised a new Fire TV UI earlier in the year, but rollout details were thin on the ground. Now things look like they're getting underway.
    As expected, Amazon is reorganising content under categories at the top of the screen – and killing off a number of categories in the hope of simplifying the overall browsing experience.
    There's also a new 'Your Videos' section, which will pull together content from all the services you subscribe to and filter out paid-for shows and films.
    According to the reports said, the update is rolling out first to 2nd-gen Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices, but it should eventually be available to owners of 1st-gen hardware as well.
    Aside from the new design, there’s also a new notification center, which allows app developers to push information about app updates and other non-urgent news.
    As you can probably tell from the screenshots, the update is rolling out to the US first, but the UK shouldn't be far behind.
