New Apple TV Will Not Support 4K Video, The Report Said

     Apple is expected to finally release a new version of its set-top box on Wednesday. The biggest addition to the device would be Siri controls, allowing you to control TV, music and games with voice commands. A Siri button would be part of a powerful new Apple TV remote, along with s a touchpad and physical buttons.
An App Store for the TV is another rumored addition, as well as the opening of the Apple TV platform to outside developers, which could greatly increase channel and content options. Gaming could also come to the device in a big way, with downloadable games in the App Store and support for third-party gaming controllers. Inside, the Apple TV would get a significant specs bump, with a much faster processor.

      Omitting 4K is a bit of a mixed bag for Apple: Consumers have just started to buy 4K TVs, and there is very little 4K content available on streaming services. However, the next version of the iPhone is expected to support 4K video capture, which means that consumers won’t be able to play back their 4K home movies with the streaming device.
     Apple will offer a model of the next-gen streaming box for $149, and possibly a second option with more storage for $199, according to the website, which also reports that the device will use Apple’s A8 processor – the same that’s being used in current-generation iPhones.
     The new Apple TV will also offer universal search, according to multiple reports, making it possible to search for a movie or TV show across several apps.
