Why RK3399 is more powerful than the other Rockchip chipsets?
Rockchip as a main TV box solutions company, launched Rk3399 earlier in this year. Recently,Rk3399 is been loved in Android TV Box and VR.
Rockchip’s RK3399 processor is a hexa-core chip with two ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. It features Mali-T864 graphics, support for 4K video playback, HDMI 2.0 output, and Rockhip says it’s designed to work in a range of devices including tablets, notebooks, TV boxes, and VR headsets.
Among other things, the processor supports dual USB 3.0 Type C connectors, Gigabit Ethernet, dual-channel memory, and hardware-accelerated H.265, H.264, VP9 video decoding and Android OS, Linux OS.
Rockchip is showing off a few reference devices including a tablet and a VR headset, We’ll likely see TV boxes,but promotional materials also show other devices like laptops and set-top-boxes, which suggests we could see the RK3399 processor in other products such as Chromebooks or Android-based TV boxes or mini PCs.
